Redemption Ridge Receives Check from Builders Association

Southern Oregon Builders Association Presents $13,000 Dollar Check to Redemption Ridge Today at 2pm

MEDFORD, OR – Builders Association of Southern Oregon (BASO) Executive Officer, Brad Bennington will present a check for $13,000 to Redemption Ridge today in a presentation to be held at 2pm. The event will take place at Redemption Ridge’s Resource Center located at 503 Airport Rd. in Medford.

The Builders Association of Southern Oregon raised the funds at their 22nd Annual “Builders Classic Golf Tournament” held this past spring. This is the third year in a row that monies raised through the Golf Tournament, hosted by SOBA, were specifically earmarked for the extensive remodeling of Redemption Ridge’s Grace House – a long-term, state licensed residential care facility for young female survivors of sex trafficking. In 2014 the golf tournament raised $7,000, in 2015 $10,000, and for 2016 a total of $13,000 dollars all earmarked for the home.

In 2014, Terry Rasmussen, co-founder and president of Redemption Ridge, brought the need for remodeling Grace House to Frank Mania, Associate Vice President of the then Home Builders Association of Jackson County (HBAJC). The association embraced the challenge and since then has raised nearly $200,000 dollars in goods and services. Primary SOBA member supporters include; Alvarez Construction & Restoration, Snyder Creek Homes, Precision Electric, Garrisons’ Home Furnishings, RA Murphy Construction, Advance Air & Metal, Parr Lumber, Hughes Lumber, No Frills Flooring, Ferguson Enterprises, Knife River, Hubbard’s Home Center, Ticor Title, West Coast Appliances, Avista Gas, and AA Insulation.

“Today’s presentation signifies another milestone in SOBA’s commitment to help those who cannot help themselves in our community,” said Brad Bennington “we’re excited that our golf tournament raised the money for such a worthy cause. The completion of Grace House is near and dear to us at SOBA, our members made a commitment to support the remodeling of this home and we are close to accomplishing that goal.”
